Frequently asked questions
Who from my team should take the assessment?
We recommend including 4-5 key leadership or executive team members—those who are most familiar with the organization’s operations and have a significant influence on decision-making. This usually includes roles like COO, CFO, CMO, or Directors. Ideally, each participant should have at least 3 months of tenure (6 months preferred) to ensure they can accurately respond to the assessment questions.

Can I add more than 5 people from my team?
Yes. While most companies stick to 4-5 executives, you can include up to 10 participants if you believe that will provide a more comprehensive view of the business. The key is ensuring that everyone involved has a strong understanding of the organization’s strategy and operations.
I have an advisor or a fractional CFO that works closely with my team. Should I include them?
If they are deeply involved in fundamental business decisions, then yes, they can be included. Many companies have successfully included advisors, fractional CFOs, or other external strategic partners who play an active role in guiding the business.
How do I explain what the assessment is to my team?
The Five Conditions Assessment helps evaluate the key systems that support business growth. Instead of just looking at revenue, it measures the structures, processes, and behaviors that allow a business to grow in a sustainable and predictable way.
It’s based on research of businesses that successfully scaled past $2M in revenue, identifying 12 essential systems that drive long-term success. The assessment shows where your business is strong, where there are gaps, and what can be improved to reach its full potential.

Are the results anonymous?
Yes. The assessment responses are de-identified, meaning individual responses are not tied back to specific team members. This ensures honest and objective participation.
How long will it take to complete?
- For the CEO: 45 minutes to 1 hour (includes company profile setup).
- For executive team members: 30-45 minutes.
I have a team member who joined 1 month ago. Can they participate?
To maintain data accuracy, we recommend only including employees who have been with the company for at least 3 months. This ensures they have enough context to provide meaningful responses.
